The HIMA X-AO 1601 is an analog output module produced by HIMA for its programmable electronic system (PES) HIMax. The module has 16 analog current outputs that are isolated in pairs from the power supply voltage and other channel pairs. The analog current values are set with A D/A converter and are measured and functionally tested with two separate internal measuring devices.
The structure of the module consists of LED indicators for indicating the operating status of the module, which are divided into three groups: module status indicators (Run, error, Stop, initialization), system bus indicators (A, B), and I/O indicators (AO 1, AO 16, Field). When the power supply voltage is turned on, an LED test is performed and all leds flash briefly at the same time.
In addition, the module supports a variety of connector boards for connecting the module to the field area. The module and connector board together form a functional unit. Before installing the module, you need to insert the connector board into the appropriate slot. The module is also equipped with the system cable X-CA 011 for connecting the X-CB 014 03/04 connector board to the field area via the field terminal assembly.
Module installation and removal can be carried out while the HIMax system is running, but care should be taken not to damage the bus and power socket due to module jamming.
